Hey out there! We own 45 acres in southern VB with 4 tractors.
Case 930 Comfort King
IH 504
John Deere 990 4WD w/ FEL
Long 2510 DTC 4WD w/ FEL

No serious farming. Just some gardening. The Case stays on a ditch bank mower. The IH stays on a garden culitvator. The JD is the "do everything else" tractor.

I bought the Long 2510 a week ago with known issues but it is coming around nicely.

I am a welder/machinst by hobby and a trained Network Engineer. I retired from the Navy in '96 with 28 years. I was an Electronics Tech who picked up Warrant. Retired as a W4.

Welcome Chet. Are you down past the Pungo area? 45 acres around VB is hard to come by nowadays. I worked down there for 9 years with the Navy and got to know the area very well. Used to stay in Sandbridge with the RV at the Southern end.

South of Pungo on Princess Anne Rd. The area is called Creeds. I live close to Monks Bar & Grill.

Land is mostly swamp and I mean SWAMP. Large creek that dumps into the Inter-coastal Waterway. Bonnie Bright Farms farms the 7 acres that is tillable.

Glad to have you join us, Chet. We only spent a few months in Virginia Beach in 1992. We were full time RVers then and worked that summer in the Holiday-Trav-L-Park. Very pretty area.

Ahh. . .Dam Neck! I have many fond memories of attending Service School Command there in '69 and again in '74. The technical training I received there was directly responsible for my making CPO in just over 8 years. I was an FTM. I owe a lot to Dam Neck and love the VB area. My wife and I came back there for part of our Honeymoon.

Welcome to TBN Chet. I think you'll like it here.:)

Hi, Eddie. Hope to gain some knowledge here and contribute some, too.

Raining heavy here. We really needed it. I hope it will put out the fire in the Dismal Swamp. Smoke is bad at times.
