my 1st tractor, got it by accident, girlfriend got tired of watching me mow 2.5 acres w/ a 50" riding mower, woke up one day last year and she presented it to me. Man this a old tractor-, sort of a rust bucket, serviceable though- need to get at least another year of service from it. can't locate a operational manual for it- so for the most part I am lost. have figured out most of the controls. But now my hydraulics for up and down on are non operational. any ideas or suggestions/ where the heck can I check to see if I am low on fluid? .Is there a adjustment for the speed at which the hydraulics move. Would really like to avoid taking to a mechanic@ 60 bucks per hr.

Thanks for info

I don't know a about the 3-point hydraulics on this tractor.

My tractor as a control knob below the seat for an adjustment to the hydraulics release, the speed the 3 point goes down.

If that knob is in to far then the 3-point will not go down. So if the 3-point is the highest level it is not move with the control lever.

There should be a dipstick behind the shifter. Trans should be about half full. Have you checked your hydraulic filter screen to see if it is full of dirt? I can supply you with the closest manuals.
