:newhere: Bought a 1956 Ford 600 from my brother in law. Came with a mower deck. Unloaded it yesterday, started right up. Mowed for 10 minutes and it stalled. Could not restart. Turns over but won't fire. I've tried choking it (which it does not normally need). Brother has mowed 5 acre field for years and said that he never had the problem and can't offer any concrete advice. It stopped running right after I ran over a wild rose bush. Acted like it ran out of gas. Added gas - no change. Sound familiar to anyone. The glass bowl is full. Looks like some kind of debris in it (a yellow jacket?) otherwise clean. PTO disengaged, tranny in neutral, clutch pedal down. Key ON. I noticed that the oil pressure gauge is not showing any pressure during cranking. Normal? Help! :pullinghair:

Did you check for spark? Sounds electrical like wire disconnected to distributor or coil is bad.

I checked the wiring and found nothing loose. Have not yet checked for spark. Thanks for the suggestion. Since it stalled while I was mowing, I figured it was fuel related.
