Because I found a nice used 5ft for $650 that is still available. Doesn't have the 3 point pins, so I would have to get the quick attach which is about $100 plus a drive shaft too.

LCI and Bulldog were located in Van, Tx and went under 5 or so years ago. Theirs came from Vietnam. I think to many law suits put them under. They had several Vietnamese working at the Van facility. In their hayday they probably had 50 to 100 tractors parked there most all the time.

My Ym2000 is an LCI. I have had pretty good luck with it and its a solid unit so far.

The Dealer that sold them was kind of shady, but his nephew (the one i liked to deal with was more honest). I had a few warrenty issues. But he went under possibly from quality but probably his location was really in the middle of no where, at his house, no real traffic by the place as it was a real side road out in the country. he tried several lines including the Cubcadet/yanmar line, bronson or montana, also sold Iseki and Sharabu imports but i think is totally closed now.

well i see then i was thinking this was a 3pt tiller with drive shaft.

And yes normal american tillers hook up and work just fine.

It is intended as a 3 point tiller. It was made for a tractor that had the quick hitch on the arms instead of using the ball and pin set up is all. Not a huge deal, but would add $100 on top of the $650 and he doesn't have a drive shaft for it, so I would have to purchase one of those too. By then it might be a wash comparing the price and anything else that might not line up exactly

Is this an ordinary 3-point tiller that just needs the pins reinstalled? What happened to its driveshaft?

Or could it be the proprietary Yanmar tiller that was meant to stay attached for the life of the tractor? Stay away from those. They are for the rare case where one tractor is dedicated to tilling exclusively.

Yanmar's more popular 3-point tiller has standard 'Cat 1' dimensions. 'Cat 1' became popular 80 years ago with the Ford 9N, 8N series (27hp) and today is interchangeable across all brands of tractors the size of our Yanmars.

I don't see any need to match a Yanmar 3-point tiller to a Yanmar tractor. Any implement with 3-point attachment will work as well.

I saw your post just as I posted mine. If he hasn't modified that tiller then just $10 of new pins will restore it to standard 3-point. If he has hacked it into something unique - I wouldn't touch it either.

Ok thanks for your input. He just said that he is lost the drive shaft. As for the pins, it has he brackets for the quick hitch type. A cat 1 pin cold be installed but would have to modify the bracket or get a quick hitch setup for my arms. $100 or so. If I was on my computer I would show you a pic. Let me see if I can find a link for you to look at

The pins for quick hitch are just bushings that slip over the cat1 pins as they need to be cat2 to work with a quick hitch? Least the ones i have seen are that way. Just take the bushings off or just buy new pins like cali said for $10

The drive shaft can be found or actually made if you can weld, but many a farm will have them sitting around. A drive shaft is a drive shaft, just has to be cut to length if too long. Well there is bolt on and drvive pin models but that can be swapped around like i said if you can weld.
