Hi All,
I have recently purchased a bx24 and have put about 25-30 hours on it since. I would appreciate any advice or service suggestions that might be out there.

Best to 1) review owners manual and 2) post specific questions.

How many hours on the tractor already? I presume a BX24 is a few years old so has probably had initial servicing done etc. If you don't know the history of the tractor it would be reasonable to start with what is generally considered the post break in service or 50hr service. There should be a list in the owner's manual that details what to do and it would include oil change, hydraulic fluid change, front axle gear oil, all filters (oil, fuel, hydraulic, HST, air cleaner). Grease all zerks and tighten all accessible bolts especially the loader to tractor and BH to tractor bolts. I don't know how the HST linkage works on a BX but you'd want to lube that too.

There are endless debates on TBN regarding exactly what fluids to use but you will not go wrong to just pick up the recommended Kubota branded oils, filters and hydraulic fluid even though it will cost you a bit more.

Pretty much in agreement with IslandTractor, we are on our second BX and will do the 400 hour service when the weather breaks, they are very easy to service.

I have a BX25 and use this type of of oil-filter wrench. It saves you from having to remove the loader and hood when you do an oil filter change. Simply put it on a ratchet extension and you can get right in.
