( Did you know that there ae roughly as many galaxies as their are grains of sand on every beach on earth ? and lets say every galaxy has just 5 planets ( very conservative number) now that is ALOT of planets !!! and you think ours is the only planet to sustain life? WOW !! we sure are special then aren't we. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif )
Interesting observation.
I read one of the reasons that makes our planet so special is that our temperature range is (only) within 200° on the surface. This is very rare on any planet where most temperatures commonly range many thousand degrees from high to low.
Why is this important? Because it allows water to exist in our atmosphere in all 3 phases, that is solid, liquid and gas. Water is the life giving source. To find this unique...mini temperature variation is very rare.....so I read, of course.
Speaking of such, I heard there was a great retaurant on the Moon but it wasn't very popular...just had no atmosphere. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
