I beleive the other Forums are tractor related. I don't believe this forum Related Topics nor Rural Living, by virtue of the names of the forums themselves, need to be about tractors.
I may be misunderstaning the forums here, but that is what I take the purpose of the forums to be. Believe me I don't want to pick a quaral with a guy who has "cowboy" in his name but I would think that if you jsut wanted to talk about tractoring etc. you would then just skip this forum alltogether and stick to reading the forums that are of interst to you.

The title of this post used to be off-topic. The problem was the forum got cluttered with jokes, politics, and numerous other topics completely unrelated to tractoring. It also became a nightmare to try and moderate and was probably 95% of where the moderation and problems came from. Those that have been around for a long time can tell you what a free for all type of forum leads to. If you limit one type of question then one person is upset, etc... We try and let things go as much as possible but it comes to a point where you have to start to rein in the content to keep order. An occassional off topic post is fine. But this forum should be at least remotely related to some type of tractor lifestyle.

We generally keep stuff in this forum 'mildly' topical. Yes.. the odd OT post hits in.. but generally in some way or another.. the posts usually get tied to tractoring in some way.. even if it is a stretch... still..like I said.. the odd OT posts comes and goes, and the mods let it lie.. they are pretty good folk.. some o fthem anyway /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
