Hey guys. I set my 1725 up for plowing after this
storm, but couldnt get it started. So it sat for three
days in sub-zero wind chills. Spent three hours
getting it started, but when i did the loader and
3PH have no power. There is no sound or feel
to the system and its been idling now for over 3hrs
with no changes. Any ideas, id rather avoid the
dealership?

(Edit) - got it started today, temp outside is 20d now.

Anyone? Please? Its kind of important...

What rpm was it idling at? It needs to idle up a bit to warm up. Get it inside somewhere and warm it up. I had to do that with my 1720 yesterday. Used a torpedo heater. When’s the last time you changed hydraulic fluid

I cant move it because the loader is down.
I ran it 3 hours at min idle, then 1hr at
250ish with the pto engaged, no change.
The thing that bothers me is that there is
no sound from the pump or hoses, its not
even trying.

I had a "complete" service done by a local
NH dealership 2yrs (10hrs) ago but i have
no faith it was done properly (if at all.) Im
not much of a diesel/tractor guy so this is
still all new to me.

So, the important thing to me (as my driveway
sits in 1ft+ of snow) is whether there is a
realistic chance of it fixing itself when it
warms up. Im trying to secure a trusted
mechanic, but for now i need to be able to get
to work...

Solved. Heating it up allowed the hydraulics
to work. Got her moving. Thanks!

Bonkers- I am happy to read that the hydraulics finally warmed up. Honestly I thought the hydraulic pump had failed.

Do you have an engine block heater?

I recently installed a hydraulic filter heater to supplement the engine block heater. It really seemed to help warm the hydraulic fluid at least at and/or near the filter.

Might want to check to see if you possibly have some water in your hydraulic system. Oil should flow at the temps you are experiencing but water won't.

I started my tractor the other day without block heater. It was in the teens. I started using it pretty quick and the hand throttle was frozen (snow and ice) and then it didn’t like high rpms at all. It would idle fine at 1000-1100 which is as high as the hand throttle went anyway. I let it idle for 10-15 minutes and it operated fine. They really need to heat up to get things flowing. After that I used the torpedo to pre heat the shed and no problem.

I think there might be a little water in there too. But subzero temps you have to let it warm up for a bit at 1200-1400 rpm. Diesel produce very little heat at minimum idle.

I agree about the water buildup in the hydraulic system.
