Same here.. No matter how you look it, The 37 paying cash would be the route I would take. He would be saving a bunch or money on taxes, interest payments and have a bigger tractor..

Tend to agree, but there is some value in a warranty and also some value in a new machine in the depreication aspect. The used machine appears to be a better deal but doubtful its a world apart better deal.

I'm not confused by that. 0% financing isn't exactly a 'cash price', and in my case was 8.5% more than 'real' cash price I paid with 1/2 down & a 3% loan from my CU. btw, I wouldn't buy a house, car, or boat by financing the whole thing. Want to pay less interest? Borrow less.

"0%" financing" is usually just a BIG hook. It commits a buyer to prepaying interest on the bottom line, with no way to pay down early and reduce that cost. It's a seller's or lenders frosted doughnut with sprinkles, a long term deal with fixed interest return signed and sealed on day one. (What they're in business to do .. make profit, not do favors).

Sit on the machines and buy a tractor to use, not to brag about the deal or to ruin it w/o proper use & maintenance. Not all of us need a dealer in our pocket to operate machinery without breaking it, or a warranty to expire without mishap. Your dealer will always be somewhere down the road. Your tractoer will be under your butt every hour you work it. Rant over. btw, I still like the blue one .. and the deal. :)

Agreed 0% is nothing, on tractors they end up pulling rebates, so you end up making up for the interest in purchase price. 0% by and large is a scam.

Good deal! I think you'll like it! I have essentially the same tractor with LS written on the side of it. 2014 G3038. View attachment 605861

Awesome! I would have went and looked at an ls but the dealer was just to far away.. nice tractor!

I understand this when the price is different cash vs 0 but why does Deere do cash and finance the same price?
