NH 5030

Got a 5030 as a loaner today
They said about 60hp, feels like.
Big LONG tractor (2wd, turf tires)
Turns really well, nice ride, mongo power.
PTO power was at like 1500rpm (which threw me for a while), but it just plugged right along.

Any idea when these were made?
horrible ergonomics, had to hit the clutch with my heel (and pick it way up), wouldn't want to do any close work with this. Tractor ergo's have come a long way.

Yup, same DNA as the 8N. Those tractors are "old school". Literally, the 5030 is a great grandson of the 8N. A lot in common with the X000-series introduced in the early '60s, probably closest to the 5000.

Honestly, I always found the older Ford and Deere utility tractors pretty comfortable to operate. Not a modern tractor but not bad.

Some would say that the 5030 is the last of the great ones.
