NH 616 mower?

Found a NH 616 mower pretty reasonable. Would a Kubota M7040 handle that mower ok? I hear people say the NH mowers are reall heavy. It weighs about 1500#, just to compare a ne Kuhn is about 1200#.

The 616 is a lighter duty mower according to the NH salesman that I deal with. When I was looking he recommended the H 6750 which is the heavier mower. He told me the 616 was OK if you were only cutting 40-50 acres a year. If you are doing more they don't hold up well.

From what I am being told the 6750 is the same as the 617 and the 616 is the same a the H6740. The HM series is their economy mower in the current line up. About 400$ difference in weight.

We are cutting about 175 acres a year with a 616 no problems yet. Only complaint is it seems to have a special combination when hooking up. Other mowers we have been able to wiggle to hook up but not this one. The m7040 should handle it fine we are running it on a similar sized MF. Wouldn't want it on anything smaller on our hills.
Also the support leg sucks on them and they fall over easily. We put a 4x4 chunk in front of the inner shoe to help with this as the oil will some times leak out of the gear box when it falls forward.

I checked Messicks part diagrams and the cutter bars have interchangeable parts between the 616, 617 and the 6750 so I guess it's NOT a light duty cutter just older model.
