The text and logo's are too small. Its hard to read unless you sit and watch it.

IMO, New Holland should be spending their time improving their sorry excuse for a website before they start doing advertising to drive more traffic to it.

I saw it, thought it was a little on the cute/humorous side, never thought to click on it. I took it to mean that you can have while getting your work done if you run CNH equipment. I say CNH because my new tractor will be in red. I guess I see the reason for brand identification what with the brand loyalty exhibited by so many tractor owners, but it seems like a waste of resources to duplicate things like advertising when you sell the same product.

Excuse my outburst. I have a few hot button issues that get to me, this is one of them. There are several dealers that have more informitive websites than New Holland has. There is somthing wrong with that.

Jason,
I switched from Firefox to IE so I could see the NH ad. It really did nothing for me to cause me to want to click and see where it took me. And I didn't click on it so I have no idea what was behind the cute little blue? tractor that was displayed.

I's OK, not great, just like their website.

Come on Guys, I think the ad is pathetic. It did absolutelu nothing for me. During my tenure as a web developer during which I created many banner ads, I don't think we ever did any which were as boring as the New Holland one. If I were not loyal to New Holland I would not have even looked at it.

I can't get the ad to show up at all with Firefox. It did work with Safari.

Personally I agree with Neil Messick on this. There are dealers who have better websites than NH. In the past to get complete specs on a NH I've gone to BOTH the NH and the Case/Farmall websites and then compiled numbers. Between the two lousy sites you can typically find most of the information you need, but certainly not all of it. And certainly not enough to make an informed tractor buying choice.

The banner was so slow (and I use a T1 line so it was not my connection speed) that if I was not looking for the ad, I've have just blown past it while clicking to get to the page I needed to go to.

As for the general websites, CNH needs to fire their website people and start with new website designers. They also should talk to some owners and ask them to rank the benefits of their machines and then feature some of those benefits. They also need more/larger photos and complete specs.

It seems like the purpose of the website is to get you to visit the dealership, like a magazine or newspaper ad. It shows a certain lack of understanding of the web audience. Maybe you guys here who are into website design and such can earn yourselves a nice commission and get the rest of a discount on tractor things by offering to run the site for them. After all, the idea started here. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
