I also put down $5K and was approved very quickly. My dealer did ask me to fill in a detailed application form, but I suspect it was because they're the tpe of dealer that likes to have every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed. I dropped the app off at the desk about 4 PM one day, and they called me at 8 AM the next day to say it was approved.
I got in on the last 0% deal, which may or may not have been extended. But, I got 0% for 3 years - I could have paid cash for the tractor, but when they offer me "3 years same as cash" I couldn't resist. There was a fee to set up the financing (I've never seen a financing deal where there wasn't a fee), and I did have to pay for a supplemental insurance policy that covers the tractor's pay off in case it is damaged or destroyed. I suppose if I was a sharper negotiator, I might have gotten rid of one or both of those, but there you are - they sounded like reasonable fees to me, so I paid them.
