If you need a modified battery hold down to fit an Optima battery you might want to check out the pictures of the bracket that I made for my TC-40D. It's simple, without need for welding on the tractor itself, and is easy to fabricate. I hope these pictures help you. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mike, that's a first class solution!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Congratulations. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif The most amazing thing is that you got your wife to take a picture. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I know the answer I'd get if I asked my wife to take a similar picture! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mike I'm amazed that I could even get her in the pole barn to take the picture. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

PineRidge,

Hmmm...exactly upside down from what I planned for mine.

Since the battery sits on a smooth flat plate, I was afraid it would slide and wiggle around. I was thinking of making a tight fitting frame like yours, only bolting it to the tractor. Then, a simple strap of metal, nylon, etc. would hold it down.

The thing I like about yours is there is nothing new bolted or welded to the tractor.

Thanks for the pics!

Upon asking her, our conversation would have been...

"Why"
"Because I want to document what all the steps are."
"For who, your tractor buddies?"
"Um, er, yeah."
"I'm busy."
