Price Check NH TC26DA

I have found a 2005 NH TC26DA, 46 hours, pristine condition. Equipped with a front blade and a 4' rear finish mower. Price is $11,500. Is this a good price?

Bit steep, but a new LS same size is going to cost a bit more, and this tractor is like new with those hours. I think you are doing ok.

- FEL or a plow blade? 4X4 No fel drops the value, 2wd drops the value.

I recently looked at a new LS j2023h with FEL. $12,500 with full warranty.

I also looked at a used McCormick CT J23, (built by LS), with FEL and under 100 hours. $9,200.

I think I'd peg the New Holland TC26da at $7,000 PLUS the value of the used blade and used mower.

The New Holland TC26da never sold well. Its kind of an awkward size with a cramped operator platform. It also suffers from an odd engineering flaw that afflicts many other New Holland tractors from that era. If you refill or add engine oil too quickly it can DESTROY the engine. I just sold my 2006 TC26DA with 54 inch bucket FEL and 450 lb rear ballast. It had 300 hours on it and was garage kept. I paid $8000 for it two years ago and sold it for $7800. When I bought it, it came with a 6" jake rake that I had previously sold for $250. End result is that I used it for 2 years and sold it for $50 more than I paid for it. To sell it I put an ad on Craigslist at 8PM. At 8:30 I got a call from a guy about 50 miles away who wanted to come look at it immediately. I said sure and at 9:30 PM the guy pulled up in a RORO truck with his son. They wanted for his son's startup landscape business. They drove it around in the field for a bit and tried everything and then produced CASH to pay for it, wanted a bill of sale and then drove it up on his truck and left. I sold it because I did no longer need it. I bought it for 2 projects I was working on and once they were done I really had no use for it. It was a great tractor and did everything I needed but it was just taking up space in the garage. Interestingly enough, the next day before I could take the ad down from Craigslist, I got at least 4 more calls from folks interested in the tractor.

Wow! You did well. You got ALL of the money on your TC26da.

Congratulations. Around here you'd still have that machine a year from now.
