NH TC45D starter

   / NH TC45D starter #11
I had the starter on my truck repaired/rebuilt for about $125, with upgraded parts. I would rather have a quality rebuild over a cheap new one. Especially since I know where the rebuild came from.

Just now I see a NH parts dealer has remanufactured ones for 199. They have 3 in stock. I should probably pull the old one and check it like you said first.
Thanks

Thanks jinman. Thats even better. Have you ever used them?

I have not used that source because I have not had to replace my original starter. However, I would not hesitate to buy one of theirs at that price and give it a try.

RobertN also raises a valid point about having your starter rebuilt at a a reputable shop. Either way I think you'll still be fine. It's really your decision and both ways make sense. It's a case of which good solution you want to choose.
