NH TN75A or Kubota 6800M

From the New Holland website:
A standard 12.4-gpm implement gear pump feeds the remote valves and three-point hitch on TN75FA, TN85FA, and 2WD TN95FA models. An upgrade to 16.9gpm is available option.
The Kioti has 10.88 on the main pump and 8.37gpm on the steering.
The New Holland steering pump that comes standard is 7.2gpm, with an upgrade option of 9.2gpm.
To me, this is a wash, as most people won't notice the differences between these two. John

Per NH's website, "A 16.9-gpm pump is standard equipment on the largest 62-horsepower models (except economy versions), and optional on all other models. The 16.9-gpm pump package includes a hydraulic oil cooler for increased cooling efficiency"

Your comments are on the "FA" model, where as this discussion has been on the "A" STANDARD model. The gpm on the pump, therefore is 16.9. If you do the math, raising and lowering the bucket is about 27% faster with the NH but the bucket smaller. Therefore, it's probably lighter.

That statement would be misleading to anyone who thinks of the TN75 as a 75HP model. I see that the PTO HP is 62 when I could finally find the right specs. I hate the NH website for easily finding information. I have to admit, I was looking quickly just for a TN75, not realizing they list their tractors with PTO HP not engine.
I stand corrected. Thanks, John

Just as a note, Kioti list it's tractors the same way. For example the DK65 has 64 gross engine HP, but only 55 PTO HP. I believe most manufactures do this until you get into the large utility tractors in which they don't even list the engine HP.

Just a note, Kioti lists both engine and pto HP. What I saw on the NH site was XX pto HP to SS pto HP, not engine power at all (in the hyperlinks to the models).

My two cents, (and welcome to the forum), Since you seem to have the capital, this gives you better buying leverage. I would take the time to look for one of these models slightly used. Maybe 2-3 years old with less than 500 hours. Your savings should be enough to buy your nice GN trailer. This also means you'll see what the real market depreciaton value bears for whatever you end up buying.
BTW, I live in Giddings, and if you want to test our 5420, send me a PM.

Well for those who have taken the time to read through this thread, the buying decision is getting more difficult because of the scarcity of tractors to even test drive. The Kubota 6800 is out for various reasons, now replaced by the KIOTI.

I was told by Rivera Machinery in TX that the new Kioti loader will have curved arms and that they would be available when they get the new "S" model ROPs versions. Not till August though. Then I might have to wait to buy one since their are some folks who have already put deposits down on some. The salesman said the controls on the newer model tractors will be more ergonomic. Also, I got a quote from another dealer on the S model who told me they were going to be about $1800 more whenever he gets them than the older ones. Now the two tractors will be getting real close in price.

The closest Kioti DK65 that I can test drive is 160 mi. away! And that won't be the newer version either.

On the NH side, I found a used TN75A 2002 model with 317 hours. in Brenham for about $3000 less. This is what is listed on their website so maybe I could get it for a little less. It has the older version (without curved arms) of the loader. I could at least test drive this tractor and get a feel for how it handles since the next closest one is about 80 miles away.

In a sense I don't want to wait till August to possibly checkout the KIOTI but at the same time since it will probably be a tractor I'll keep for a while, it may not make a difference in the long haul.

My wife says, there's no telling what I might change my mind to in 4 months. She's suggesting I wait, and of course I just want to go buy the TN75A, new or used. I could spend that time to find me a GN trailer and a diesel pickup for the hauling, but it's hard to take my focus off a tractor purchase at this point. It always seems like it's best to be patient so maybe she's right.

I thought I saw a DK65 sitting on the dealer's lot in Burnet, did you check there? It may have been a 55.

I'll admit that I know a lot more about the smaller tractors than the larger ones, but I'm under the impression that the TN's loader is NOT a curved arm design, even on the new ones. The TN, if I am correct, uses the 32lc loader, that is not a curved arm loader. I suspect the 2 year old unit uses the same loader as a new one you'd get off the dealer's lot.
