This post is for my Dad, He has a 2004 TN75DA and likes the tractor but it has a REAL problem with the clutch. He uses it to mainly cut and roll his hayfields , has had fords and operated tractors for 50 years , no problems but since getting this one in '04 new he has had the clutch replaced twice . The NH dealer tells him it is operator error and He did not like that at all, TOO much time on tractors for him not to know how to drive one !!! Any help such as known problems would be greatly appreciated, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We have run in to several that the clutch just needed to be adjusted not replaced. With your dad's experiance I doubt this is the case but just for refrence read below on adjusting the clutch.

There is no specific adjustment length for the clutch release cable (part number (5174885), other than to adjust it to set the height of the clutch pedal. To ensure full engagement and disengagement of the clutch, set the height of the clutch pedal at 140 +/- 2 mm (5.5 +/- 0.07 inches) above the floor.

At this height the weight of the clutch pedal causes the throw out bearing to ride against the clutch fingers all the time. There is no free play felt at the clutch pedal because there is no spring to pull the clutch pedal, or springs to pull the throw out bearing away from the clutch fingers.
