Yeah thats what we said. We where tempted to put some chopped hay in the fuel tank when we sent it back just for the excitement factor that it would have created.

The reason could be just to take a picture of the VIN to attach to their paperwork and cover their tracks. Hopefully, the tractors also pass through radiation detector testing.

It serves as an unofficial fine for NH - requiring transporting the tractors again. The official fine would be 5-10 times as much.

My guess is anything official would ultimately require someone in Customs to explain why 53 loaded trucks left the Port of Entry without their knowledge or prevention. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Marty's dad here - I was at the German restaurant on the east side of the mountain just a few weeks ago. Haven't been to the Ukie place on the west side in a few years. I can afford to because I just use an old MH Pony that doesn't owe me a thing. <g>

Do you mean to say that our government isn't perfect and that some in it might be flawed in there thinking and actions??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Absolutely NOT! Whatever they said and did may be contradicted before and/or after the fact. It's always the intention of the language, not necessarily the words which are voiced or set in print.

Well actually it was 53 tractors and only 33 of them got off the grounds before they realized what had happened the other 20 tractors where still on the trucks at the dock, but customs would not inspect any of them until the other 33 where returned even though this was there mistake. I have also learned that customs makes this same mistake about once a year.
