Nice oak find

I find it amazing that some of the trees saw Indians and founding fathers resting on them many generations ago. Survived civil war battles and even revolutionary war battles. Imagine what they've been through.

Can you imagine what a 4000 year old bristlecone pine has seen. Never mind the 2000 year old redwood whipper snappers. The oldest LIVING tree, a bristlecone, is called "Methuselah" and is 4,765 years old. Living where they do, life ain't easy either.

I have some pretty good piles of smaller live oak logs. The timber guy took everything else and said the live oaks had no monetary value.

It should make a great Anvil Stump ! None in my area, I have to build as trump from pieces of dimensional lumber. Not as good but it will be better than bending over... Save my back !
