The Mule deer in the first picture is found on the west coast to the eastern plains of the rocky mountains, from Canada to Mexico.

The second pic is of whitetail deer, which are found in almost every state except Utah, Nevada and California.

I would have believed those pics were taken at the WayneB compund ! Some friends of mine have deer that will walk up to within 50 feet of them when they are out in their back yard. I'm amazed they are that trusting.

Oh you didn't know we live in a Condo! Actually, we have deer in the orchard all summer long, but for some reason they seem to hide around here in the winter if we have lots of snow.

Speaking of snow, it is really going away fast with this warm weather and winds. Sure winter will return toward the end of the week.

NIce buck. Just chased one away from my red maple- he was making a meal of the bark -stripping and eating it. Used some spray and will have to cover with some metal mesh. Deer around here have no fear because their not hunted. -Ed

Wow great pictures !!! Winter is real tough on the deer, I think someone in East Wells makes sure they dont starve, of course I surely cant give any more info than that !!!

Yea Up north where we are the state has come down hard on people for feeding wild life! Guess they can sit in Albany and know better than those in the north country?
