Sometimes in our busy lives, we forget what it is like to do good for others. Many years ago, while Uncle Sam took me away from my beloved Texas a similar thing happened to me. I was stationed in the state of Conn. I was riding my motorcyle in a residential area and it quit. I pulled over to the side of the road and started fiddling with it. A gentleman was mowing the lawn across the street. By the time I figured out that I was out of gas, here he came with his lawnmower gas can in his hand. He put the gas in and forced me to take a dollar bill. I protested, but he said the same exact thing had happened to him. The person who helped him asked him to repay the favor. He said he had waited a long time for me. The gentlemen asked me to pass the favor on. I have twice. That was 25 years ago, and I still look for motorcycles out of gas.
