I bought my 2015 Silverado 2500 about 2 years ago with only 42k miles on the odometer. The tires on the truck, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, were nearly brand new. They, per the date code, were a late 2020 manufactured tire. Fast forward to now, I have put 48k miles on them. They have been well maintained and still have decent tread left. Unfortunately, in the last 2 months, I had 2 separate. I did a google search and this seems to be a pretty common issue, especially with tires manufactured around 2020. We also had a Uniroyal tire on my wife’s Yukon do the same thing. Those tires had about 35k miles on them and were also manufactured in 2020. Hers were replaced under warranty with BF Goodrich. Unfortunately, I did not have any paper trail with mine. I replaced the Nittos with Good Year Wrangler Workhorse H/T. Found them to have very good reviews. Attached is a picture of the bulge/separation in my Nitto tire. Anyone have similar issues with these tires or tires from around 2020?
