Has any body ever heard of this stuff or tried it out? Just saw a video pop up on my FB feed and thought it looked interesting. It is supposed to change the bonding characteristics of the fluids and the metal in all environments. Engine, trans, hubs, power steering. I'm pretty skeptical but maybe it reply works and someone here has tried it???

Wow. Even more expensive than Militec. Wonder if it works as well. ... :confused3:

Was reading the product site. It claims that oil in a heavy diesel truck should still be good at 40,000 miles. Seems curious on the surface. Detroit Diesel DD15 motor has an OEM oil change recommendation of 50,000 miles without this product. Chevron has done testing that their oil will not start to show degradation in this motor till 70,000 miles. Not sure what is so special about this product. It could be something to consider, but as with all things, I am wondering what is so inefficient about modern oils and lubes that they need a product like this, and how people can be marketed to and convinced they need stuff like this. I sense another snake oil ad.

One of the easiest marketing gigs is to convince people that they need something more than a modern oil can provide in their motors and equipment. After all, we spend a lot of money for our vehicles and equipment and we have a desire to get the most from the money we spent. Hence it is one of the easiest marketing gigs to come along with a additive that will cure all the world's ills and convince people they need it. It is easy to separate people from their money in this market area. This is why there will be a never ending stream of new products that make bold claims. As I heard it one time in a Physics class in college.... "people will use vast claims using half vast data" Now, say that very quickly 3 times!

I agree there are alot of snake oils out there with huge claims. Those oil change intervals are staggering at 70k!

Yeah, many in trucking are still trying to wrap their minds around the Detroit OEM 50,000 mile OCI recommendation. But I have seen plenty of example that it is valid. Motor oils and engine designs have made significant advances in just the last 10 years. It is a real game changer.

From About NMF
Scientifically unique and unparalleled in performance, only NMF eliminates the root cause of harmful and energy-robbing friction. NMF reverses the always-present electrical relationship in machines from negative-positive (attractive and frictional) to negative-negative (repelling and non-frictional). The result is virtually no more friction. Thus the name NMF.

Sounds like pure concentrated snake oil to me and is sure to appeal to the perpetual motion crowd.

Surface modifying lubricants like Militec do work, and within their niche give benefit I have not found in any other lube. The stretch is justifying them in hydrodynamic situations like present in an engine. In general the snake oil only gives benefit in metal on metal contact situations. These exist very rarely in an engine and the product is wasted at great profit to the supplier.

I suspect NMF is the same. Used strictly where and in amounts applicable a pint should last a lifetime.

What's not said in that is you will of replaced to oil a few times, remember folks the only time a Detroit isn't leaking is when it's out of oil. ;)

That was true of the old 2 cycle series , the 4 stroke DD of today dont leak oil.

Now I have a C16 Caterpillar ...$280 bucks to treat it with something unknown in a $50,000 engine......Hmmm, think I'll keep changing at 15000 miles.Oil is CHEAP !

Personally I would say that it's best to steer clear of these aftermarket 'additives'. One has to consider how they might, or might not, react with the existing oil additive chemistry.
