No Brake Controller on new truck

The F150 controller does not (or didn't used to) read brake pressure like the superduty model so no pressure sensor required. Pretty similar to a prodigy control in a nice package for the dash.

Go aftermarket. Get a Prodigy.

To add the OEM brake controller, you will need more than just the actual controller and programming. You will also have to change out the master cylinder.

I added a Prodigy to my 2008 Expedition. Works almost as good as the OEM controller in my F250.

Since your truck has the 7 pin round connector, the wiring is under the dash. Most retailers that sell the controllers also sell the adapter that will plug right into the OEM wiring.

Why would you change the master cylinder? I have installed 2 of the factory controllers, all you do is plug it in and program it.

The prodigy is a good aftermarket controller, I have one on my service truck.

I would have recommended what I had installed, a MaxBrake, one of the few aftermarket controllers that tapped into the master cylinder to sense brake pressure and adjust trailer braking automatically, but they've gone out of business. :( As others have recommended, go with the factory unit.

and i need to trailer my tractor today.

Only problem with the factory controller is he's not likely to find one and get it installed today (which was over a week ago).

Maybe a dealer would have one, but the price would be higher. At the same time it would have a warranty which he is not likely to have with the eBay controller.

I love the brake controller in my F-350. My F-150 has the towing package. When I bought an aftermarket controller for it I dug the relay and pigtail out ofglove boxvebox to connect the controller to, didn't need anything else. If you bought the truck new and it had a towing package you should have got those pieces too, check behind the seat or in the glove box.

Its really a big mistake i must say and this problem is really a big problem. I think it is good to go to the dealer soon because this truck is new and you can replace it.
