No Cable/Satellite TV! Am I the only one left???

I dooo love my TIVO! However, about 6 months ago, after another 250.00 Time Warner bill, we decided ENOUGH! We had cable with 3 premium movie channels, two digital boxes, all the bells and whistles, as well as Road Runner. We would sit down to watch something and after searching all the channels and not finding anything interesting, we'd buy a pay for view!! WHAT LUNACY! I went to Lowes, bought a 100.00 antenna and put it up out back. We did keep Road runner, as my wife has her own web design bizz, but we turned in all the boxes and had the cable disconnected! I highly recommend it! Finally free of the TIME WARNER TYRANNY. And for all that money, we were still bombarded with commercials. I thought that was one of the main points of having cable? We now get 7 channels, all the major networks and PBS, and we seem to do just fine with the TIVO working for us. I'll never go back to cable. They've raped me enough for a lifetime.
