No fuel bowl on F3990?

John, I've added the speedometer, bed liner, upgraded the mirrors and added the hand throtltle kit, high air intake, and it has some dirt on it so I'm sure he wouldn't take it back.

All the additions but the dirt would be OK but....... no, if it has dirt on it he's out.:thumbdown::laughing:

YOU CAN. GET THE kUBOTA MULCHING KIT! By removing the side chute you can mow on both sides, the blocking plate keeps the grass from blowing out to let the wind blow it back on you and these are the two main desirable features of the rear discharge deck.
I bought a small Kubota Zero turn a couple three years ago and a BX2370-1 laast year and added the mulching kit to both and I was/am happy. Sold the Zero turn to my niece and she turned it over last week but no damage to her or mower but had nothing to do with the mulching kit. .
If faced with the situation I'd gladly buy a side discharge with mulching kit but would never want side discharge without mulching kit. With mulching kit the leaf mowing could/should also be better than leaf cutting with rear discharge, maybe.

My dealer said that the mulching kit was installed, based on what I told them (I bought the unit used from an individual who purchased it from a different dealer). I have the baffles on the deck for mulching but there is no plate to block the discharge chute. My dealer confirmed a mulching kit part number and all it did was show the rear baffles on the deck....maybe the blocking plate was a separate part?

How would that perform with the discharge blocked, with the mulching kit? My grass is often pretty tall when I cut it and the chute is really chucking that grass away. However I've got an 80 acre field next to me that loves to drive the wind right at me and therefore blowing grass all over myself.

Many people have made plates to block their chute discharge hole (Remove the chute) and maybe they will respond with their way of doing it. A hand movable blocker may be good to leave open on non windy days and drop it when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.
I hae the mulching kits with removed chutes and blocking plates that came with the kit on two different machines and I to mow when grass is a bit high and it does clump up just like it does without the mulching kit when it is high. It is doing more cutting with the mulching kit (keeping cut grass inside the blades cutting field longer by design and blocking plate) , the purpose of the mulching kit, which will require a slow down and of course max rpms. Other option is to do like our "Lawn" cutters and mow more often.
I think we also have an F owner here with a big deck with mulching kit and maybe he will jump in the thread.

I have the F2690 with 72 inch side discharge.

Here are the parts numbers on the bill from dealer for mulch kit setup

Parts listed below are for bx2680 with 60 inch mower, will have to look up parts for f2690 with 72 inch side discharge mower

I would say the kub is just something on their computer system.

With the kit no grass on you. But you have to be regular in mowing. Could also be that having the mulching kit on the 26 hp f2690 with 72 inch mower is a strain if you don't mow on regular basis.
I have been mowing every 5 to 6 days on approx 10 acres of lawns (100 year old neighbor, in-laws, and myself). Placed mulching kit on bx2680 60 inch side discharge mower, wife loves it.
