I've been seeing a lot of 40's-70's model Oshkosh trucks for sale of late. They are obsolete what with the current highway truck being able to push all but the deepest storms. Usually the trucks only $3-5k. Wish I could find something to do with the truck because they are bukoo cool. Anybody seen the lifted Oskosh truck with monster tires? It's in front of M Schetti. I worked on those at an airport one winter. You plow the snow to one side ( towing the big rotating wire brush) and then the Osh kosh blows it up and over the runway lights. ---Trevor

It was made in Finland and and all the hydraulic fittings were European. The thing was a nightmare to work on.

Interesting you guys have the same problems with fittings, i have my Bobcat backhoe which has JIC fittings. There is only one farm dealer that keeps 5/8" JIC fittings in stock whenever i break a hose.
AFAIK many US manufacturers are switching to Metric fasteners anyways ??
