cast is soft.. 
if i was blowing them regular.. and in dire straights.. I might use some indian head gasket maker/sealer on it and glue the gasket on.. and apply to the other side and bolt up.. and that would likely be a long term fix.. but..
would be a MAJOR PITA for the next time you did fix it.. getting that stuff off.
