Did you notice that there's only one trail leading to the smaller of the two huge boulders on the downhill side of the house? I think the larger one has been there for a long time.

I think you are correct.

At the very beginning of the video, you can see the scar of an earlier slide off to the right of the new one too.

I noticed where the timber was missing to the right of the current slide location...definitely not the first time this happened.

As far as diversion trenches....it would have to be HUGE to stop a boulder of that size. My luck the boulder would go airborne and miss the diversion trench all together. There isn't any practical way to stop this without spending multi millions.

Time to move!!!
