Well after all of the research and agonizing decisions on what color to get and then what model and then what options. I finally decided on the TC40D with SS. I was about a week away from signing on the dotted line when.....

Dealer called and the interest rates went up and the rebates went down.....

Wife decided to quit her job and stay at home with my youngest son. This is a very good thing long term!!!!!

but cuts about 25% of our income...the 25% that was to cover the tractor note.....

Well all is not lost!! I will be looking at the tractor auctions for a used $3,000 to $4,000 tractor that will get me through this year. Basically just for mowing and some light box blade work. I will probably get either a Ford 3000 diesel or a MF135 diesel. Any one have any suggestions. I am leaning towards a Ford because I would like to stay with my NH dealer for parts and service. I would prefer not to have to deal with the local MF / John Deere Dealer.

The other upside is the now instead of settling for the TC40D I can get the TC45D...Which is what I really wanted anyway.

Let me know what your opinions are on the used tractors I mentioned or any other suggestions. I want to make sure what ever I get that I can get a decent return on it when I go to trade it in or resale it next year.

The good thing is you can always upgrade and either trade in or sell outright to someone else. But at least you will get a machine.

You don't have to deal with Brookside for Massey parts. The only place to buy parts for a Massey Ferguson is Highlands Tractor in, of course, Highlands, TX.
