Well glory, I think I might celebrate. Today is the first day since June 21 that it did not rain. I've recorded at least 0.25" every day since then, till the 30th, today. The month's total will be just over 13", which is a fair amount, but we actually had more last June - - 19+". - - Whatever, everything is water logged. I understand it is this way all over the gulf south.
Sure made a mess out of my vegetable garden.

Boy I wish you could send some my way, after record rainfalls in April and May, we are drying out and the experts are predicting a dry July. after replanting washed outs, I have been watering to catch up

Tdog, I'm not sure how much rain we got yesterday, but this June was either the wettest June since 1928, OR if we got enough yesterday it was the wettest since they started keeping records in 1898. I think we had 10.39 before yesterday and about 11.5 was the 1928 record. And I HOPE it's dry enough to mow tomorrow, but there's more rain in the forecast today and tomorrow.

Ah Bird, another month, same forecast. Rebecca on channel 5 is saying you're going to get wet this morning and there's a threat for more this afternoon. We've already got more rain this year than last. And we're sitting about eight inches above normal for this time of year. And that's at the airport. In some areas out west and down south they're really got wet.

If we lived out west we'd know that the fire season would be extra bad because of the extra grass. So I guess we need to count our blessings.

We got wet April through the early part of June. Rained so much half of my potatoes drowned, but the beans sure liked it. Then, about two weeks ago, it stopped raining and everything is getting pretty dry. However, it is supposed to rain for the next week or so, off and on. This may turn out to be one of those rare mid-Missery summers when we get enough rain spread out through the growing season that I don't have to try to figure out how to irrigate the garden. Fella finally came and cut my hay Sunday, raked it Tuesday, and baled it yesterday....just in time.

BTW, Harv, I'd rather see you on The Survivor series than that car-truck thing....I don't get that channel!

We had a couple of days with only sprinkles... less than 1/4" but started July with a bang. 2-1/2" this morning ending around lunch.

And I only had a few sprinkles this morning and even have some sunshine this afternoon; might get to mow this swamp tomorrow. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

northern center ohio: lots of heavy rain and lots of flooding followed by enough dry time to make it smell really bad lol

the lake with a good sized dam was about 20 high 2 weeks back (to help stop flooding down stream) now it staied that way for a week then they dropped it and everything is really bad smelly! there was probalby 400 acres flooded under that water and sure did make some mess of things, even left many a road flooded out!
right at the farm we been realy good though enough rain to keep garden growing, and only one hard gully washer. last 2 weeks it has been just a few sprinkles to keep the garden wet and grass green but not needing a heavy mowing! just right /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
