I have a bright white clam shell drive way, I live about a city block's distance from the road to a county landfill and animal shelter, as well as the FedEx terminal at the rear of the airport. People coming from the north just can't seem to read the big sign at the road, drive by and just can't avoid my shiny white driveway. I've turned around in driveways myself, but I avoid it if possible, I'll drive a mile up the road to keep from using someone's driveway, it is private property.
That wouldn't be so bad except they usually are going way too fast, and slam on brakes as they turn in with wheels locked to the left, then proceed to stop and turn the wheels all the way the other way while sitting still. Most are front drive of course, so the punch the throttle and dig a few more holes before leaving. I've had several drive up my driveway to the turnout in front of the house and turn around, had one park there at night, turn on inside lights and start reading directions or something. Once I had to wait for a car to back out, so I could get in! Makes you feel like Rodney Dangerfield!
