My wife has been giving me her used cooking oil , a gallon at a time . She saves it under the sink after it has been used too many times for frenchfries etc. I was burning it in my wood stove in the garage by using a mechanics oiler can the past couple of years.
But now I started to have a old paint can half filled with a 3 inch paint brush in it . Then with the paint brush I apply it to my tractor plow in back and FEL bucket too. After a few snow removal jobs I repeat the application . It takes five minutes at most and works well to let the snow just roll off the 60 inch plow I modifed from my ATV to fit my tractor.
Only disadvantage is my dog spends too much time licking my plow when I am parked ! So sooner re-application may be required depending on your pet numbers. But it is free !!!!
