I have a year 2000 Kubota L-48 with only 1300 hours; front end loader and back hoe. AWESOME machine and no problems til recently! I turn the key to start with the clutch depressed and absolutely nothing. Battery is new!...all contacts on terminals cleaned. Can anybody HELP me solve this? THANKS! jimmy

Your PTO is turned on. You might have bumped the lever with your butt last time you jumped out. Been there, done that...almost tore the tractor apart.

OK guys....I want to THANK all of you that had your suggestions and something in my gut said it is something simple and electrical as this tractor usually starts when you look at it hard enough.... and "just keeps on ticking". I started at the negative terminal off the battery and cleaned up the bolt that makes the contact to the main frame for the ground.....WALLLLLL-LAAHHHH....she fired right up! I'm back in action. If I was a tractor salesman...I could sell a L-48 with my set up of the Kubota front end loader 1150 and that gorilla of a back hoe....the 1100; amazing power and a smooth machine for a mid size tractor. It is a pleasure to run that thing while it sips fuel....and I hate climbing off it and shutting down...sometimes I just look for something to **** up! THANKS! to all of you....it is VERY much appreciated.....; great site for the average tractor guy! respectfully to all, ,jimmy

Great Grandson had been on tractor - would not start- he moved the pto lever while all was shut off.
