No welding, just holes and bolts

Good eye. That charger is probably as old as I am. My Dad gave it to me when I went to his place to pick up a bunch of other tools and stuff. I have not had to use it yet. The positive terminal is real rusty, however besides that I think it probably still works. It is sitting on an old battery that I have yet to dispose of.

You should see the old Craftsman circular saw he also gave me. Metal everything. Once I got the motor unfrozen, it spun fine. I bought a new one anyway because the old one weighed a ton. I'll keep it for a back up.

You can't be all that old cause I've got a charger just like it that I bought new, although that was 25 years ago !!!!!!! Your bolted work looks just fine. Would like to see the subsoiler on the tractor so others without welders can see how it's done. Bolting gives the added advantage of serving as a shear pin to prevent breaking something else. Congratulation for your Subsoiler! With holes and bolts it is easy to dismantle. In past time. Army sometimes use battery for welding. My mechanic teacher shows me How to do. Battery can explose! Just for expert! Thanks! Oldmech

I will try and assemble for some pics. To explain, just take out the bottom bolt from the pieces of angle at the end, slide rectangular cutout onto the drawbar attachement and then close and rebolt the piece of angle at the end. All that piece does is keep it from pulling off. The whole project ran me about $25 and it worked really well.
