2009 Kubota B2320---Wheelhorse lawn mower--- Case 480D Backhoe
I have a Kubota B2320 that is a 2011 model with 120 hours and has a front end loader. I have noticed an increasing-- alternating squealing, or whining sound, coming from the front of tractor, like under the oil pan. When it first started, it made a sound like a stick rubbing something and the sound has slightly increased. It does this only in reverse whether it is in 4x4 or not. Hydraulic level is OK and full service is up to date.

I have a 2620 (2012) and it whines in high range when under load (uphill). When that happens I usually drop to mid-range. Hopefully it is the nature of the beast!

I'm not familiar with your model tractor and don't know if it has a strainer. But when I had my B7800 I got a high pitched noise/whine when in high gear. I don't recall if it was in reverse.

Dealer took it in because it was under warranty. After a week and having a Kubota tech come in from another location they found the transmission strainer to be clogged.
No issues after that.

I have the same machine, 2010 model. Every once in a while I hear a high pitch steady whine when I am driving forward without any load or tow. Tractor stays in middle range, almost always in 4wd.

Have no idea what it is, I cannot intentionally duplicate it. When it happens, I just let off on the treadle or turn the wheel and it stops. Just FYI, machine now has 440 hours and it has not happened in months.

Since this is an "alternating" sound, I don't believe it is a hydraulic "gurgle". I am afraid it is from the front deferential but I am unable to pin point the source.
I have thought about raising tractor wheels and operating machine while listening underneath---DANGEROUS!!

Oohhhh, you better don't! Way too risky. Rather, do extensive field trials and note grade, rpm, bucket position, range, etc. then you might have some data to talk about with the dealer mechanic. May be a condition that is harmless, after all, all machines have some quirks.

It has to do with the front 4 x 4 shaft, the part from the tranny to the front axle housing. There is a rubber boot covering the shaft knuckle ( u joint ). Go under the tractor, loosen the clamp on the boot and turn it a little one way or the other so that is is centred on the shaft. Basically your noise is the u joint rubbing against the rubber boot, this happens from time to time.

If your sound turns out to be what Duke described above, it will indeed help to follow his advice. i "cured" an annoying sound in my B2320 by repositioning the boot and greasing it. Hope that solves your noise issue.

I have the 4 wheel drive noise problem that you said, I will try to fix that tomorow... but I have an other one that bug me -_-

My hydraulic fluid level is ok ( between the 2 lines on the gage 3/4 up) and even with a lot of pre heat, when I drive the tractor it make a noise like and hydraulic pump missing oil. When I hear that sound I now stop going foward or reverse and the sound stop, when I step back on the hst pedal the sounds comme back and stop and comme back..... I'm at 332 hours on it and I have done all my service that the owner manual require. Whit all those sounds I start to think about doing my 400hrs service next week end. Does anybody have experienced something like that before?

Switch to SUDT2 HST oil from Kubota. Also the more load on the HST the more noise. Reduce range from high to med or from med to low. If it's still making a lot of noise throttle back on the HST-don't press on it more actually reduce pressure on it to give the tractor more power. Also make sure you are at least at 2000rpm when doing any type of ground engaging work or towing a heavy load. The HST works better when revved up!
