I had a shot bearing nosie coming from under my B3030 when it was new. Dealer found it was just the dust boot came loose on the drive shaft from front differential. It was a awfull sound. I didnt notice it much at low speeds. Its something to check.

Thank you guys for the replies. I will sleep better because it got me frustrated at first and now I know it is there on most Kubotas. I don't have much time to deal with tractor problems these days. Will check that dust boot too.
Thank you all

I know it's been awhile since you wrote this but I was wondering if you had any luck finding where/what the noise was coming from?

My 7510 has been doing the same thing for most of the summer, making the nosie when driving in high range, and no load on the tractor and I have not been able to locate what is causing it?

I have the same problem on a B7510. Still no solution? Obviously if it was normal it would have appeared on a new machine. My dealer was clueless also. Any contacts a Kubota headquarters?? Sounds like a problem no one has solved.

Thanks.

The tractor has about 104hrs now and the last service was at about 75hrs. The noise is a high pitch rattle just like the one you would hear if you are using an old worn out power tool.

My L3240 made a similar sound since it was delivered. Seemed to be coming from somewhere in the transmission. Actually, I'd describe it more by stealing some prose from Robert Pirsig:

"This old engine has a nickels-and-dimes sound to it. As if there were a lot of loose change flying around inside. Sounds awful, but it's just normal valve clatter. Once you get used to that sound and learn to expect it, you automatically hear any difference. If you don't hear any, that's good."

After two years, I had completely shut the noise out. Then, last summer, while cleaning the radiator screen after cutting our field, I noticed the battery hold-down clamp was loose. After tightening it up, the sound had stopped.

For some reason, and despite a lot of effort to track it down, I never could locate the source until it slapped me in the face.
