Have recently purchased a new Farmtrac 555. I believe it is a very good tractor but the diesel engine is very loud. Will it quiet down with time? Is there a solution? Thank You /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif <font color="blue"> </font>

Some tractors are just louder than others. I have a 2440 Deere that is deafening loud. Has been from day one.

Very loud, loud or kinda loud. Do yourself a favor, get some good hearing protection, wear it religiuosly or in time you won't hear the difference anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No, it will not get better with time. Is this likely a two cylinder engine? The old Yanmar two cylinders are called Yanmarhammer they are so loud.

The Chinese diesel generators are quite loud as well, and so are MANY diesel brand tractors.
