Noisy Hydraulic Pump on New Holland TC45

Ah! My bad. I read the TC29D on your post but still went and search for the TC45...

I did search the TC29 now and as you said, there is no signs of a screen. Which I find very odd.

Check or replace right away the rubber hoses on the suction piping for the pump. Some times it will let air get into, even though is very hard to notice.

So I got this figured out about a month ago and forgot to explain what I found. I figured I would put it on here for someone with a similar problem in the future. RNeumann was correct in that the metal filter screen inside the reservoir was covered in a thick scum. To check this, I had to completely drain the reservoir and I also pulled the inspection plate off the bottom. This dirty fluid was found inside right where the suction filter was located. After thoroughly cleaning it out and adding new hydraulic fluid, everything works as good as new. Thanks to everyone who helped on his problem.

This also was my problem with. Noisy pump and loader and lift arms would bounce going up and moved abnormal. Pulled suction hose off of house and removed screen filter from inside. Completely covered in scum! Cleaned filter and changed fluids and works like normal. Thanks for the help!

Hi MNTC45, I'm having the same issues. I have the sump filter out and it is disgustingly dirty. Where did you find a new filter and how did you clean the larger screen filter thats in there also. It says in my manual that it can only be accessed through the rear differential and removing the ring and pinion I don't want to do that. I'm wondering if I can spray it with a bunch of brake wash and clean it the best I can through the inspection cover. I'm really hoping this is my problem. As dirty as the filter is it had to be starving for oil. I put in brand new hydraulic oil and a new hydraulic filter and it was the same so I drained it back into the buckets and now I'm at this point. I'm going to search for a new pickup filter instead of trying to clean it.
