Today the dealer quoted me an additional $700 for the Kubota QA adapter. He said the tractors they have on the lot now were 08 models but they were ordered before the Kubota QA was available???

I put delivery off until next week and I am going to look at the Ansung loader Saturday to try to make a comparison to the LA463. The dealer is telling me that I will be better off with the Kubota fel, but he probably has more of them in stock:D I will get the QA one way or the other, but I don't know if the Kubota loader is worth the extra $700 it will take to add the QA.

I'd get the dealer to throw the loaded tires into the deal.

Definately get a QA adapter - regardless of whether you gte the Kubota or Ansung loader.

I'd strongly consider going for the Ansung loader given the extra 200lb capacity.

700 bucks is overkill. You can purchase the OEM Kubota one from a dealer for just over 400$ including shipping. Search for westbrooklawn's posts.

It is a hassle to add later as you have to modify your bucket to accept a QA. Buying from the dealer with QA, your dealer will have to sell you a bucket that accepts QA.

I'd work him on the QA.

Well the L3400 HST with the Ansung, QA is here!:D Also picked up the Land Pride 6' finish mower and a box blade. Now if my yard was just dry enough to go out and play.

Thanks to everyone for your help:) Any suggestions to a new Kubota owner would be most welcome.

Not dirty yet, but my wife has taken more pictures of the tractor than most people take of a new baby! I think she is more excited about the landscaping that can now be done than I am about having a new toy:)

Exciting stuff! What kinds of landscaping plans do you have for the tractor this year?

Using the standard 60" Kubota bucket and 400# of weight hanging on the 3 point, I can pick up a full rounded load of dirt and manuver on level ground. It would not handle much more weight or uneven terraine without more weight in back. It looks like your bucket might be larger. Loading the tires probably is slightly less counter weight for the loader than my 3 point weight though it puts more weight on the ground.

First priority for the tractor is to build a pad and a 500' driveway for a shop on the back corner of our lot. I have been itching to build the shop all winter, but is has been to wet to get around. The shop and driveway have been my main justifications for buying a $19K lawnmower that is really too big for my 3 acres anyway:D

Other jobs will be to level the lot for better drainage and the wife wants some new flower beds. Our lot holds a lot of water, I figure with a brand new tractor and my inexperience with surveying next we will be lucky not to flood the house:)

I am not sure what the volume capacity of the Ansung bucket is, the brochure just list it as 60". The bucket did look like it was built a little heavier than the one from Kubota, but that was just me looking at them side by side so it may not be the case.

I am going to load the tires when the adaptor that N80 suggested arrives (thanks for the link N80). How is the best way to add weight to the 3-point hitch?

If you need extra weight occasionally, just put your boxblade or any implement back there. I rigged up some old tractor wheel weights on a straight bar that I can roll around in the shop for easy storage. There are some threads on this site you can search addressing the many possibilities, limited only by ones imagination.
