Nor Trac Tractors, To Buy or not to Buy?

I am thinking about ourchasing a Nor trac 30 hp Tractor. Is there anyone out there who has had experience with these tractors, good or bad that can attest to parts availability, reliabilty, quality, etc. Any help appreciated.

What you're considering is simply a rebadged Jinma. Northern is just a importer/reseller. Be concerned with the terms of the warranty. If you search the internet for prices on a JM304, you'll quickly see that Northern's "free shipping" is already padded into the sales price.

Unless you're confident in your own mechanical abilities and have a decent place to work on it, you might want to consider someone who can/will provide a local parts and labor warranty. Service after sale is very important in my book, and I've read too many complaints about a general lack of responsiveness at Northern. Their lack of representation in these help forums is telling as well. You'll find much more supportive dealers that frequent the various Chinese tractor self-help forums.

1212,fill out your profile,where are you located. Several great dealers out there, shop the price, parts are easy to get from us or several other sources,they are a great value. You need to have some mechanical ability to own one ,the trade off for the cheaper cost is you may have to make some adjustments, repair small leaks, yourself. Keep us posted on your progress
