Normal Noise?

Hey all. New hear. Just purchased a Kubota L2800 w/HST, front loader, BB , and 72" finish mower. Driving in medium range should there be any noise, or is it natural for these HST models to be a little noisey while driving. Also do you engage the pto for the mower at Idle then throttle up? The dealer told me to engage at PTO operating rpm One other thing. I accidentally engaged the mower w/o the clutch in (at idle) and hit hard everything seams normal. Hope I didn't hurt anything. Like I said i am new to tractors so any info would be great. Thanks.

Noise is not a problem for the HST. That's normal.

I engage wherever I am in throttle, usually at a low speed then I throttle up. No big deal to me either way.

Your machine will be ok. It's like missing a clutch and grinding a gear.... all part of it, the less the better...

The benefit of engaging the pto at lower rpm is to lessen the shock load on the implement.. Got to find a sweet spot that doesn't beat the implement up.. but also doesn't stall the tractor..
