And how convenient, my wife is at Martin's as we speak. Once again, the cell phone saves the day /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Back to the Northern Michigan theme... Do cell phones work up there yet? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It depends on weather you REALLY need it to work or not ! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif In the woods mine is a on again off again proposition. Sometimes I pretend two maples are field goal posts and drop kick it for better reception /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Occasionally it works. Nice Truck Daryl, and Barn (s). We did a LOT of camper vacations when I was a kid. Dad had a 3/4 ton corn binder that wouldn't die. So he bought a camper for it and drove it near forever. It met its demise when he had it on jack stands to replace the clutch. He forgot to disconnect the batteries and a wire got pinched. pooof ! end of the wireing harness. Now I was REALLY peeved because I wanted that sucka for my first ride. Not the '71 green Hornet or the '66 Dodge that went down the road sideways. lol. I looked at new F-350's today but they got those cheesy running boards on the King Ranch, cute little lights and all. I like the truck but those puppys would last about 5 minutes with me in the woods. GM is doing the same dang thing with flimsy Tonneau covers and cheap looking westin style steps. YUCK ! I've been thinkin about tradin mine in after I got the rear bumper hung up un a stump a couple of weeks ago. Forward...Reverese...Forward .....reverse....Finally I got it off. This weekend when I changed the oil I realized that the stump wasn't on the rear bumper it was stuck between the Tranny and the oil pan skid plate...ooops /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I betcha can guess what the oil pan looks like. Tonys home of the 1# bacon B'fast. Just go the other way when you get off the ramp to go to dixie daves, or better yet go to Halo Burger !! Dave

Dave:

I know about going the other way. That's how you get around the Birch Run scale!!

I used to deliver steel to Lear in Roscommon and ocassionally, I'd be a tad heavy, maybe a couple of thou' over gross so I'd boogie up the back way. I run Tower in Traverse City ocassionally too. I usually run 127 on that trip.

Last time I had a Halo Burger, I had acid reflux and flatus to boot.

I do like going to Hooters though. The food isn't that great, but the view is. We are known to stop at Hooters on the way up. Looks kinda strange pulling the big 4 place down to the pier, but you know how sledders are!! One of these days I am going to get up the courage and ask one of the girls if she'd like to see my camper /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Rob:

I'd say the barn is about 150 years old. I resided it in T-111, 5"oc. All the beams are original, hand hewn and pegged. We store bailed hay inside and have 4 stalls for horses too. I added the shed on the side for implement storage and there is one on the other side as a run in shed for the horses. It will be around after I am gone, i am sure. I attached another picture, just happens to have my Kubota in it, but another view of the barn.
