So far I'm loving the new look, but not completely. There are some changes that I would make, but luckily I can have my cake and eat it too, using the Stylish plugin for Firefox - I just made the forum look the way I wanted and am sharing it for anyone who was a little more partial to the old look, but wants some of the new prettiness as well.

Here are some changes this will make (all of them are subtle, but important, changes):
- Removed excess whitespace
- Widened main forum view
- Removed sidebar
- Removed redundant text
- Removed extraneous images (like the toolbar icons)
- Other stuff I can't recall

I've attached a before and after image of the changes I made.

Here is the link to the Stylish style
You need the Stylish plugin to use it (Supports Chrome and Firefox, sorry IE users you're stuck).

Let me know if you like it. These are all CSS changes, and don't (can't) do anything nefarious.

Curious what is involved in making these changes? Click the link to the Stylish style and click "show code". Yes, I do this for a living ;)

Come on now, it's just not as pretty  without the ads and the icons. :confused3:

I will make an ad enabled version. I use an ad blocker, so it all looks like blank space to me. That was my main motivation (and getting rid of those icons, hehe). But I can see many people wanting to see the ads (they are sometimes useful, I admit )

The icon thing mainly because it makes me scroll more, nothing bad about them, they are quite appealing. I can't do it purely with CSS, but I think the icons would be better served small and to the left of each menu item. You can make them pop by highlighting them as they are hovered over, or with CSS3 you can make them scroll into view on hover which would be cool, too. I love web design, can you tell :)
