As I have noted before, for low HP small tractors, removable soft cabs are often the best option. Keeps you out of the wind and blown snow, comes off for summer use, and saves several thousand dollars.
Hi, do you have a brand/company that you'd recommend?

I don’t notice any loss of power when using the AC even when bushing hogging thick grass. I have cut the AC off and didn’t notice an increase in power and cut the AC on again with no noticeable difference in power or performance.

Sounds like the advice from Kenny G might be in order. Soft cab for snow, remove it for fresh air when weather permits. A little buddy heater would take the chill off.

Original Tractor Cab (OTC). They are based in Indiana, USA made products, been around for years. I'm very happy with mine which I have had for about 8 years. It's best to get the optional safety glass windshield. With no heater, I'm comfortable in mine with a winter coat and gloves down to 0 or so. Below that my feet get cold after a while.

My JD 2320 was not available with a factory cab, probably because, with 24HP, it wouldn't be a good candidate for A/C.

I have a cabbed one now but never drove cabbed ones before. I always enjoyed being in the outdoors...feeling, smelling, hearing, tasting, and seeing everything. The cab offers the A/C, radio, low noise, no bugs and dust. You have to decide what are more important to YOU. I'm not a big fan of the cab even though I should be. The enclosure was stifling to me and I felt like I couldn't see anything, but, I'm getting use to it. I get the work done in comfort and take more time sitting on a lawn chair enjoying the outdoors. My hay fever is better now too because mowing can get dusty. YOU decide for YOU.

My first tractor was a Cab tractor, and so I am not able to compare to an open station tractor. I will say the cab reduces noise, and allows you to focus more on the job. It also keeps the weather from your instrumentation console and most electronics, which increases tractor reliability and keeps the operator dry. When using a rotary cutter in summer time, Bush hogging can stir up an incredible amount of dust and pollen, so being in a cab is alot more healthy. Heat in the winter, cooler in summer. Not bad for a small incremental cost.

The way I looked at this question when I purchased my new then 2015 Kioti was: am I comfortable in a car/truck without heat and air? Answer was easy, and no regrets!! Bob

Cab for sure. No regrets.

I also went with a cab on my second loader, a CTL. My original skid steer didn’t have one, so I learned my lesson and got a cab when I replaced it with the CTL.

No cab on my mini excavator. It doesn’t get used in winter or rainy weather in the other seasons.

Here are a few pictures of the OTC cab on my John Deere. They are all similar but custom made for each tractor. Go to their website to see which tractors they make them for. I've added LED floodlights and golf cart mirrors to mine.
