Unfortunaly I got a bad dealer. I took it to him to repair the steering(the white tank beside the fuel tank has a screen that clogged up plus the lines). He ran a mixture of gas and kerosene through all of the hydraulic system, creating more leaks than you could imagine. Branson Headquaters are helping me to fix everything. They are great people. I called them trying to get parts(because the dealer was not getting the parts I needed) I explained my problem to them and they offered to help me fix it without me asking too. I took it to Richmond Va. to meet there rep. and he took it on to North Carolina to repair it. If they still cant fix it I will still buy another Branson tractor because it is a solid machine. My only advice for anyone looking to buy any tractor is to be absolutely sure they are working with a responsible dealer. By the way I only have 223 hours on it. Really looking forward to getting it back. One last thing does anyone know where I can get a longer seat belt as mine is a little on the short side?

gboyd,
Sorry to hear of your problem---I'm sure Branson will get it taken care of.
Frankly,I'm surprized to hear of any problems, as we have many customers who have purchased Bransons and several of them work the dog-**** out them, ---use 'em like they are dozers, with no problems, except the some minor dents and scratches, which are not the tractor's fault.
In the last 5or 6 months we have had at least 4 customers that have brought their Bransons in for normal maintainance service (mostly 2910's and 3510's) and ended up taking home a new larger Branson ----a great testimonial as to how well they liked these tractors.
Also these trade -ins are a good example of Bransons holding their value. We obviously allowed fair trades---and have still been able to quickly sell the trade-ins----contrary to the BS that "the competition" has been known to spread about "lack of trade-in value" of Branson tractors.
Most savy customers can recognize quality, when they see it.
A good, qualified, service-oriented, dealer helps too! (toot-toot) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've owned 2 Bransons now, first gave me a couple issues. nothing major at all. The second....well that's a whole different story. Only have 40 hours reading on it...which is very inacurate and have add so costly issues if it wasn't under warranty

Before I bought my 4020. I talked to at least 5 people who bought tractors from him and they said that they had no problems with him, but shortly after I bought my 4020 he slowly began to start selling a different brand with cabs and cutting back on Branson and now does not have any on his lot also not keeping maintence parts on the shelf for us Branson owners here forcing us to find another source. I am attempting to get some of the dealers of other brands in the area to pickup the Branson line as I still believe it is a great tractor. Mine has done everything I have ask of it up to the point (183 hrs) when I had the steerintank and filter clogged up. As I undersrtand Branson has done away with the tank now and rerouted the lines through the main HYD. filter. They are going to retrofit my 4020 this way. It will make maintence much easier with 1 less tank and filter to deal with. Patiently waiting for the return of mine, and cannot Thank Branson enough for there help. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I also read all the post here looking for anything probs I need to look out for. I have a Century 2535 & I'm just about to do the first 50 hour svc. Have had zero problems. I'm a little concerned about the fact that Century is gone. My bro-in-law is a heavy equip mechanic, so hopefully he can handle any probs that arise. When I bought it, I planned to keep this thing till it fell apart, so trade value don't mean anything to me. I would post if I had ?s or problems, but haven't yet. I went from a walk-behind gravely to this, so its a huge improvement. Plus its a lot easier on my backside than that old metal sulky.
