ya know as we wind down the 2 Million post contest and need a topic to carry us forward....
I thought about this....

What do you do with your time for hobbies etc?

Discounting time with kids, grandkids and the significant other--- what do you do for fun??

tell us some stories!!!

J

Let's see.
I work at work.
Work at the ranch.
The wife always has something she wants done at home.

Hmmmm... seems like I work a lot.

Three times a year, we pack up the cattle and go compete at the fairs for a week each.

For the most part, my time on the computer is my down time where I try to relax for the evening.

What else is there to do other than play on the tractor and be on TBN.

Whenever the wife needs the computer, I just sit and twiddle my thumbs with nothing to do waiting till she gets done so I can get back on here.

I like to fix things. Whether it be a tractor, a car, a computer, something electronic... I like to make broken things work again.

Lie around, drink beer...

Actually, some shooting and babysitting the pooch (which I combine with the beere drinking so after a while she's babysitting me).

"beere" drinking is when I drink and think about the Deere.

My hobby is just plain being outdoors and doing any sort of "mans work". I work in an office and it's very high pressure and deals with people people people so I just love to be home at the ranch.

Mans work is anything with your hands and your body in the outdoors. I don't mind indoor work but outdoors is the way to go. Now that does not exclude walking in the forest, snowmobiling or ATVing or fishing either of course.

And, there were the earlier mentions of cooking meat and drinking beer. Mmmm, meat and beer....

Edit: And of course, posting on TBN!

love to cook meat:licking:
I've been told that i make real good jerky, i do about 5lbs every 2 weeks. . . give a lot of it away.

last October we went to NC and did the whole Blue Ridge Park way with the Kids, they loved sliding rock, we went further north and did the Nantahala 4 times in 2 days, that was a blast. was the 2nd time my kids went rafting. Wife and i have done the French Broad 4 times, Nantahala 5 times the Jim Thorpe 1, Chattahoochee 2, and the okatoma 8,. The kids love it. I'd like try kayaking but the wife thinks its too risky.

We have skied breckenridge, and keystone multiple times, i also have skied the dolomites in italy, as well as the skiwelt in austria. my brother just moved to CO so we started planing a trip for 2011. but we'll see

COOL-- I live just south of the parkway in Western NC.

sliding rock-- cooooollllllllddddd...

and Nantahala-- I did it in a rubber duckie--- not too bad until that last rapid before the takeout!
I am jealous!!!!!!!!

If you down this way again-- let me know..
