Sounds like one shocking experience that I can live without. I have also heard that some people just die for the experiance.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've had a few VERY close calls with lightning in my life. That is something I hope never to go through no matter how good it could make you feel.

Tom-W, just wanted to say I enjoyed your picture slide show. That LB1914 is a great little tractor isn't it? John

Being struck by lightening is one sensation that I think I can live without.

Just a couple weeks ago, I walked outside to look at my 10' ower that had been delivered earlier that day. It was raining good.. but you know how us tractor guys are.. I was thinking about grass cutting. Anyway.. big high tension lines hang over the corner of my property.. well lightning hit those lines.. right over my head... sparks fell all around me.

Sure they were 60' in the air.. or something.. but I think I left a spinnout mark in the grass when I took off for the house!

I just posted a post in which I declared my fear of my new rotary mower, so I might as well keep confessing my fears.

I am utterly terrified of lightening. I have been convinced for my entire life that I will be struck by lightening. When there is a thunderstorm I go into what can only be called a pathological state of fear. My heart pounds in my chest. I can't think. I can barely breathe. I feel like I am going to jump out of my skin. If the storm is really bad, I curl up on the couch in a ball and close my eyes and shake until it passes. If something must be done outside during a thunderstorm, I need about three days to recover from the exhaustion of functioning in such an elevated state of fear.

My in-laws had a dog that was terrified of lightening also. He and I used to cower together. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
