Snow Not the usual snow blade post/question

Beenthere, as you stated, there are no reports of FEL damage on TBN from FEL mounted snow blades. I think this is a "old Wives tale" so to speak.
Fact is there are at least 2 reputable aftermarket companies making these, as well as JD themselves.

I think a properly functioning "trip" mechanism on any blade regardless of where it's mounted and a little common sense is the key to not damaging anything.

I think the loader will handle the blade OK. Our hospital has had a 4210 that they recently traded with a 420 loader and a 7' Curtis blade. They plow a lot when it snows, and the parking lots are huge. They also use it for dirt and gravel prep and frequently had different users on the machine. The loader arms, etc. held up well.
